Cami is a Vocal Music Education major at Coe College and originally hails from Rutland, Illinois. She did not have the chance to go to camp as a kid, but she did come and volunteer as a counselor at Camp Bear Creek last summer. She loved it so much that she’s joining us this year on summer staff!
In her free time, Cami likes to journal, sky-watch, and color. You could say that she’s an artistic person. She’s also a sporty person and specifically loves football and basketball. You’ll have to ask her who her favorite teams are when you meet her this summer. As you might expect based on her major, Cami can play a few different instruments. The weirdest one: the spoons! Maybe she can give you a performance when you come to camp. Don’t ask her about anything smelly, though! Cami is noseblind and doesn’t have a sense of smell.
Cami’s favorite way to connect with God is through worship and reading her Bible. She says, “I am looking forward to helping campers deepen their relationship with God this summer.”
Cami’s favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:34: “Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
