Lexi Cahoy

Lexi is from a small town in Northeast Iowa called Sumner. She is an Elementary Education major at Wartburg College. This will be her first time at summer camp, but she has been to show choir camp before and loved her time there. She cannot wait to experience everything that Camp Bear Creek has to offer.

In her free time, Lexi likes to do Legos, read, craft, or spend time outside. She also likes to sing and crochet stuffed animals! Maybe when you meet her at camp, she can show you some of the things she’s made. Lexi also enjoys celebrating the beautiful world that God has designed. Whenever she gets flowers, she likes to dry and preserve them so she can always enjoy them. She also collects butterflies and crystals. Lexi says, “The Lord makes beautiful things for us!”

Lexi likes to connect with God through worshipping by singing and going on prayer walks. This summer, she says, “I am excited to make meaningful relationships with everyone at camp, grow in my faith, and make memories that will last a lifetime!” She has this to share with parents and campers: “I promise to create a camp experience where everyone feels safe, respected, and loved each day. I can’t wait for this great summer!”

Lexi has a hard time choosing just one favorite Bible passage. Her two favorites are John 13:34-35: “Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” She also likes Proverbs 31:25-26: “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.”
