Matt is from Chicago, Illinois and attends the University of Dubuque where he is majoring in Digital Art and Design. He did not grow up at summer camp, but he’s very excited to be at Camp Bear Creek and getting in on all of the summer fun. Matt says, “My goal is to let kids have fun and give them the best experience they ever had at Camp Bear Creek.”
In his free time, Matt likes to play video games and go for cruises in his car. He likes to cook, and he claims to be the fastest kid at his high school. You’ll have to ask him which events he competed in and maybe challenge him to a race!
Matt’s favorite way to connect with God is through daily prayer. He is really looking forward to being part of a Christian community at Camp Bear Creek and joining in worship.
Matt’s favorite Bible verse is Matthew 3:16: “As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.”
