Grace came to Camp Bear Creek as a camper for nine summers! She started in elementary school and came all the way through our Counselor in Training (CIT) Program. Grace says, “It was one of the best experiences of my life.” She joins us this year for the first time on staff as a Leadership Development Coordinator! Grace says, “While working at Camp Bear Creek this summer, I am looking forward to getting to know the kids and watching as they grow in faith.”
Grace is graduating in May from William Penn University where she studies Psychology. She grew up in Onslow, Iowa, not too far from camp! In her free time, she likes to go to the gym, listen to music, read, and get outside. One of her favorite foods is peanut butter bagels. Grace has a great sense of humor and often snorts when she laughs. We know she’s going to be a great addition to the Bear Creek team this summer.
Grace has a message for campers this summer: “Camp is a wonderful experience. You grow as a person, become stronger with God, and have the best summer ever!” Personally, she connects with God by listening to Gospel music and singing with people around her. We know she’s going to enjoy worship around the campfire and at Grooveship this summer.
Grace’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 2:10: “Instead, we are God’s accomplishment, created in Christ Jesus to do good things. God planned for these good things to be the way that we live our lives.”
