Saul Vivanco Escamilla

Saul is from Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico and is studying to be a Financial Engineer. Overall, he describes himself as a really happy person and says, “I always try to find the good in every situation.” This will be Saul’s second summer with us on staff, and this year, he’s brought his brother Leo with him!

Saul enjoys playing soccer, spending time with his family, learning new things, and visiting new places. Coming to Camp Bear Creek last year was such an adventure for him. He says, “Camp was like my second family.” He also really enjoyed the chance to share his knowledge and culture with his campers. Saul says, “I enjoy spending time with kids. I think they have a lot to teach us. I like spending time with them because it makes me feel like a child again.”

Singing and praying are two of Saul’s favorite ways to connect with God, but he enjoys spending time with God in lots of different ways. He says, “I love being close to God and sharing his good news with others. I really want to have an excellent impact at camp. I want to learn new ways to help make this world a better place.” For Camp Bear Creek campers, Saul has this message: “I’ll do my best everyday to give all people at camp the best experience I can.”

Saul’s favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through him who gives me strength.”
