This is the perfect way to introduce little ones to camp before they come on their own.

Camp Life

You & Me Camp is the perfect way to get just a taste of camp! You’ll have the chance to eat meals in our dining hall, try a few camp activities, make s’mores, sleep in a cabin, play games, and even participate in worship and Bible study. Unlike other programs, this camp is structured with a “Choose-Your-Own-Adventure” style. Rotate between your favorite activities and participate as your camper is comfortable. You’ll create lasting memories, meet lots of camp friends, and experience camp together before your camper comes on their own.

Camp Meals

Meals at camp are about more than just filling our bellies. When we gather around the table, we build community, engage in conversation, share ideas, strengthen relationships, and cultivate empathy. All of our meals are served family style, and we are intentional about taking this time to share food, conversation, and laughter with each other. We do our best to make sure our meals are kid-friendly and nutritious, and we can accommodate most dietary restrictions or needs. At You & Me camp, all of our meals will be shared in the dining hall, and we’ll enjoy some evening s’mores around the fire!

“The prayers and worship songs are always great, fun ways to build a child’s faith, plus being in nature where God’s workmanship is so clear. Camp is an awesome place to have a positive, fun faith experience.”

“John loves it so much! He never wants to miss a summer, and he made a friend his first year that’s become his yearly camp buddy!”

“I send my kids every year because of how much my kids LOVE the time there – away from parents and school. They have the ability to be themselves without judgement.”

“Camp Bear Creek was a foundational part of my spiritual development. My experiences there over many years motivate me to send my children so that they may also experience the spirituality of nature and the joy of camp friendships.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the most frequently asked questions by parents about You & Me Camp at Bear Creek. If you still have questions after reading this information, please call the Camp Office at (563) 488-3893 or email us at office@campwyoming.net.

Check-in is on Saturday at 12pm at Deer Center (the dining hall). Don’t worry! Even if you’ve never been here before, staff will be stationed at the entrance of the camp to make sure you know where you’re going. After a short check-in, you’ll be able to move into your cabin and play some games while everyone arrives. Every camper will get a new camp shirt to wear for their first day of camp! Lunch is immediately following check-in at 1pm.

Check out is on Sunday at 12pm. We’ll eat lunch together and then say good-bye to the new friends we’ve made. Come ready to exchange contact information. Perhaps you can plan a camp adventure later in the summer or the following year with some of your fellow cabin-mates.

Parents and campers at You & Me camp stay in cabins! Our cabins have eight bunk beds per cabin, are air-conditioned, and have private changing rooms. Bathrooms are a short walk away at a nearby lodge. If you want more information, check out this video where our Program Director, Jake, sets up his own bed in a cabin!

Of course! Camp is always better with friends! When you sign up for camp, you’ll notice a spot on your registration form that asks if you would like to be placed in a cabin with a friend. Make sure you write their name down, and tell them to write yours! Please know that for You & Me, cabin assignments are based on the gender of both parent and child (i.e. one cabin for mothers and daughters, one cabin for mothers and sons, one cabin for fathers and daughters, etc.). Even if you aren’t able to be in the same cabin with your friend, you can still do activities together during the day, sit together at meals, and play games together. Invite as many friends as you’d like, and come ready to meet more friends once you arrive!

We can absolutely provide alternatives for most dietary restrictions and allergies. When you sign up for camp, please make sure to indicate on your health form (both for child and adult) any dietary needs you might have so that our kitchen can plan and prepare before you arrive.
