More than 60 years ago, a group of faithful churches dreamt of a place set apart in God’s creation where faith would grow. They understood well that sanctuary of space allows us to draw closer to God.
As we look to the next 25 years of camp and retreat ministry, we want to build on the foundation of those who cast the first vision – and we are dreaming big for the future of Camp Bear Creek. We remain committed to creating intentional space for children, youth, adults, and families to engage with God’s creation and providing programming which would strengthen one’s faith and support one’s understanding of themselves as a child of God. Thus, inspiring them to respond to God’s call in our lives.
Through a strategic and master site planning process, a vision for the future of camp was developed that will strengthen and expand our shared ministry for decades to come. These plans may take 25 years to complete. But we believe these dreams are worth having – dreams worth sharing – as we consider what God may do through this ministry in years to come.We are excited about the strategic and master site plans that we are sharing with you. We are even more energized by the impact on the lives of those who come to Camp Bear Creek. Whether coming as a summer camper, participating in a school field trip, or attending a retreat, people experience God’s presence here.
