TTT is a national organization of women whose vision is to inspire young girls in their communities.

Every summer, Bear Creek hosts two weeks of camp specifically for these girls. Often coming from disadvantaged homes, in one week, our aim is to make a difference in their self-confidence, self-esteem, leadership skills, and life choices. We want them to leave knowing that they are valued and they are loved. The TTT organization sponsors the entire cost of camp, from camp fees to transportation to the clothing and shoes they wear at camp. It truly is a life-changing organization that makes a difference in the lives of hundreds of girls every summer.

Because TTT is a program specifically for girls, we depend on female volunteers to help us make these weeks of camp happen! Graduating high school juniors or older are welcome to apply to join us for these amazing and impactful weeks of camp. You’ll have the chance to serve as a counselor alongside our trained staff, helping to lead activities, songs, and games with the girls all week. It’s okay if you’ve never been to camp before. Just come ready to love and care for the girls, and we’ll get you caught up on the rest. Along the way, you can even earn 120 volunteer hours for just one week at camp.

TTT FAQs

We want you to feel informed and ready as you decide whether volunteering at TTT camp is right for you. Check out the most Frequently Asked Questions. If you still need more information, contact Jake, our Program Director, at jake@bearcreek.camp or (563) 488-3893.

All of our volunteers stay with their campers in cabins. The cabins have eight bunk beds (sleeping sixteen people), private changing rooms, and air-conditioning. Bathrooms are a short walk away at a nearby lodge. Come prepared to spend the whole week! Staff, volunteers, and campers arrive Sunday and leave on Friday.

We need volunteers the weeks of June 2-7 or July 28-August 2. Please indicate on your volunteer application which weeks you’ll be free to volunteer. You can choose one or both weeks. Volunteer spots are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you have a specific week you’d like to come, be sure to apply early!

After you apply, you’ll receive more information about camp and everything you’ll need.

The best part of the camp experience is living in the moment. Our technological devices tend to pull our attention away from the space and people around us and focus them solidly on the glowing screen in front of us. We want to be immersed in the beauty of our world, in conversations with friends, and in all of the fun happening every day at camp. For this reason, we ask campers to come to camp without these items. You are more than welcome to have them and use them on your time off, but when you are with campers, we ask that these devices stay put away and out of sight.
