Lilly graduated from Northeast Iowa Community College and is a para-educator at Washington Middle School in Dubuque. She is from Bernard, Iowa and grew up on her family’s farm. She has a wide variety of interests. At any given moment, you could find her line dancing with her friends, crocheting, working on cars, or working with cattle! She grew up line dancing with her parents. Maybe she can teach you a few dance steps! She enjoys working on cars so much that at one point, she considered being a mechanic.
Lilly grew up coming to Camp Bear Creek and worked on staff with us in 2022 as a Kitchen Assistant and in 2024 as a counselor. She’s returning this year as a member of our leadership staff! She says, “Going to camp was and still is one of my favorite things.” Thinking about this summer, Lilly says, “What I’m looking forward to at camp is getting to be outside and making new friends.”
Music is Lilly’s favorite way to connect with God. It’s why singing together at worship is one of her favorite parts of camp. For parents, she has this message to share: “Your kids are going to have so much fun making new friends and doing so many activities!”
Lilly’s favorite Bible passage is Psalm 121:1-2: “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
