Sarah is from Hickory, North Carolina and attends school at Florida State University. She’s studying Psychology with a minor in Child Development. Camp is the perfect fit for her to practice the skills she’s learning in school and grow in working with children and youth. She didn’t grow up here at Camp Bear Creek, but she did attend a Wilderness Outfitters camp growing up. She says, “I am looking forward to gaining experience counseling kids while also growing my own faith and passion in the process.”
When she’s not studying, Sarah likes to read, play tennis, travel, and work out. Last summer, she had the chance to travel Europe! You’ll have to ask her about her favorite place to visit. While she’s not a fan of drinking soda, she does really enjoy coffee and apple juice!
Sarah connects best with God through sining and worship. She can’t wait to be part of the worship experience here at Camp Bear Creek and live within a Christian community.
Sarah’s favorite Bible verse is John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
