Adelle is from Muscatine, Iowa and will be graduating from high school in May of 2026. She plans to attend cosmetology school in the fall. She is a regular here at Camp Bear Creek and it’s one of her favorite places. “I’ve been going to camp since I was a You & Me camper. I absolutely fell in love with the feeling of being there. I have never felt so close to God and so loved as I do at camp. Every year, I cried when it was time to leave camp and begged to stay.”
Adelle’s favorite way to connect with God is through other people. She enjoys hearing their stories of how God gave light to their life. She also likes to share her own story with others. In her free time, Adelle likes to do anything arts & crafts related. She likes to sing and dance as well. Adelle is definitely a people person. She enjoys just interacting with others and getting to know who they are. Camp is a great place for building friendships and community!
For Adelle, one of the best parts of camp is the chance to decompress. She’s looking forward to being in that unplugged, authentic environment for more than just one week like she did as a camper. She has a goal every day: make someone laugh! She’s one of those people who is really good at taking awkward situations and making it funny and memorable. We can’t wait for her energy and joy here at Camp Bear Creek!
Adelle’s favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:2: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” She says, “I chose this one because it shows how different we can be from each other, and God will still love us because He crafted each of us in His image.”
