Ellie is from Kansas City and attends Southwest Baptist University. She’s studying Missions with a minor in Communications. This will be her first summer at Camp Bear Creek, and she joins us as our Media Specialist for the summer! Ellie may not have been to Camp Bear Creek before, but she did grow up attending church camp. “I made a lot of friends that I still talk to!”
In her free time, Ellie likes to travel, play guitar, and run. Traveling to Iowa may not sound like the most exciting thing, but Ellie is ready to all of the adventures she’ll have at Camp Bear Creek! “I am so excited to spend my summer here!” Ellie also loves musicals, and you’ll frequently find her singing something. You’ll have to ask her what her favorite musical is when you meet her.
Ellie says, “I am most looking forward to meeting campers and capturing their experience!” When you see her around with a camera, remember to smile and say “Cheese!” Ellie connects best with God through spending time in worship, reading about theology, and memorizing scripture. She can’t wait to grow in faith with other campers and staff this summer.
Ellie’s favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
