Isaac is from Cedar Rapids and graduates in May from Coe College with a degree in Vocal Music Education. Isaac is a familiar face around Camp Bear Creek. He lived here as a baby when his mom was the Program Director, and Isaac has attended camp from You & Me all the way through Counselors in Training (CIT). This will be his sixteenth summer at camp and his fourth summer on staff. Isaac says, “Camp has always been a special place for me. I’ve met some of my best friends at camp!”
Even after so many summers, there’s always something new to experience at camp. Isaac says, “I’m looking forward to getting to know new people and growing closer to God” He connects best to God through music, both singing and playing guitar, and you’ll see him leading worship for us this summer.
Saying that Isaac loves music is a bit of an understatement. He can play nine different instruments! You’ll have to ask him which ones when you meet him this summer. In his free time, he actually likes to compose music and play video games with his friends. His favorite football team is the Pittsburg Steelers, so during football season, you’ll find him watching and rooting for them.
Isaac favorite Bible verse is Psalm 40:3: “He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be astounded. They will put their trust in the Lord.”
