Max is originally from Fennimore, Wisconsin, but now lives with his family in Marion, Iowa. He and his wife, Kari, have three kids, Finley, Annistyn, and Max, who all attend Camp Bear Creek in the summers. They also have two Labrador retrievers named Gus and Maverick. Max went to the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse where he studied Recreation Management. He is the General Manager at Anderson Automotive.
Max joined the board because of the positive experiences his children have had at Camp Bear Creek every summer. One of his favorite parts of camp is the chance to unplug from social media and get outside in nature. He hopes to help ensure that Camp Bear Creek remains a great place for people to come and help them grow even better for the future.
In his free time, Max likes to travel, golf, read, spend time with his family, watch movies, and listen to music. He enjoys lots of sports (go Blackhawks!) as well.
Max’s favorite Bible verse is Psalm 118:24: “The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.”
