Owen grew up in Peoria, Illinois but moved to Blue Grass, Iowa fourteen years ago. He attends Loras College where he is studying Mechanical Engineering. He grew up going to Boy Scout camp and another Christian Camp, but in high school, attended Camp Bear Creek, which he claims is his favorite camp of all!
In his free time, Owen likes to exercise, lift weights, and participate in outdoor activities like camping and fishing. Even though he is allergic to them, he loves cats! One of Owen’s favorite parts of camp is Bible study. He says, “I love to answer questions and explore more about our faith.”
Owen connects best with God through prayer. This year, he’s most looking forward to “the amazing experience of helping kids grow closer to God.”
Owen’s favorite Bible passage is Romans 5:20-21: “The law entered in so that transgression might increase but, where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through justification for eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
