Pat is the Maintenance Director here at Camp Bear Creek. He grew up in DeWitt and currently lives in Delmar. Pat has spent his entire life in small-town Eastern Iowa and wouldn’t have it any other way. He and his wife have been married for over thirty years and raised three daughters, one whom they lost at 18 years of age. Now, they have five grandchildren who keep them running and plenty busy!
For Pat, the best part about working at camp is just being outside and in the woods. He’s always enjoyed camping and spending time in the outdoors. On weekends, he likes to RV camp with his friends and even built a campground on his own property. Working with his hands and helping to make the camp and beautiful and accessible place for all is part of Pat’s passion.
Pat’s favorite TV show is Power Nation and his favorite food is burgers fresh off the grill. He brings a lot of experience to the table including carpentry work, vehicle maintenance, groundskeeping, and pool operations. There’s always something to keep Pat busy here at camp!
Pat’s favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 22:6: “Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.”
